This device is designed for surface temperature measurement and cannot measure the internal temperature of objects or liquids. To begin, insert the 9V battery into the compartment. Point the laser aperture toward the target surface and pull the trigger to initiate the measurement. The current temperature will appear on the display immediately. Use the function buttons to toggle between measurement modes or to adjust the emissivity settings based on the material being measured. For continuous monitoring, utilize the measurement lock function or mount the device on a standard tripod using the integrated socket.
For the most accurate readings, ensure the target surface is clean and free of obstructions. When measuring reflective surfaces, adjust the emissivity setting accordingly or use non-reflective tape to improve measurement precision. Always maintain a consistent distance from the target to ensure the 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio is respected.
