Uni-T UT302A+ Infrared Thermometer
The Uni-T UT302A+ infrared thermometer is a professional, non-contact temperature measurement tool designed for precision and efficiency. It allows for quick surface temperature readings across a wide range from -32°C to 700°C. With a fast response time of 250 ms and high measurement accuracy, it is an essential instrument for professionals who require reliable thermal data in various industrial and technical environments.
This device stands out due to its high optical resolution with a 20:1 distance-to-spot ratio, enabling accurate measurements from a safe distance. The adjustable emissivity feature allows the user to calibrate the device for different surface types, ensuring consistent results regardless of the material being measured. Its ergonomic, rugged design is built to withstand drops from up to one meter, making it suitable for demanding work sites. Additionally, the clear backlit display and intuitive interface ensure that data is easy to read and manage even in low-light conditions.
This thermometer is designed for surface temperature measurement and cannot measure the internal temperature of objects or liquids. It is not intended for medical use or for measuring human body temperature. Furthermore, it may provide inaccurate readings when measuring highly reflective or shiny metal surfaces unless the emissivity is correctly adjusted or a non-reflective surface is applied.
To begin, insert the provided 9V battery into the handle compartment. Turn on the device by pulling the trigger. Point the laser at the target surface you wish to measure. For best accuracy, ensure the distance to the target is appropriate for the 20:1 ratio. Adjust the emissivity setting if you are measuring non-standard materials. Press and hold the trigger to scan, or release it to hold the current reading on the display. Use the mode button to cycle through MAX, MIN, AVG, and DIFF functions as needed.
For the most accurate results, ensure the lens is clean and free of dust or debris. When measuring reflective surfaces, consider using matte black tape or paint on the target area to improve emissivity. Always allow the device to stabilize to the ambient temperature of the work environment before taking critical measurements.
