To begin using the Uni-T UT320A, insert the provided batteries into the compartment on the back of the device. Connect the compatible K-type or J-type thermocouple probe to the input port located at the top of the unit. Power on the device using the dedicated button and select the appropriate probe type if necessary. Place the tip of the probe firmly against the surface or insert it into the medium you wish to measure. The current temperature will appear on the LCD screen. Use the Data Hold button to freeze the reading on the display for easier recording, or toggle through the MAX/MIN/AVG modes to analyze temperature trends over a specific period.
For optimal accuracy, ensure the thermocouple probe tip maintains consistent, clean contact with the surface being measured. Regularly check the battery levels to prevent unexpected shutdowns during critical measurements and store the device in a dry environment when not in use.
