Unit UT345C LPG Tank Fuel Level Sensor
The Unit UT345C is a specialized ultrasonic fuel level sensor designed for monitoring liquid petroleum gas (LPG) levels in cylinders. This portable, pen-style device allows for quick and non-invasive checks of propane and butane gas levels in tanks with diameters ranging from 200 mm to 350 mm. By placing the probe at a 90-degree angle against the cylinder wall, the device provides an immediate status update via clear LED indicators, eliminating the need to move or weigh the tank manually.
The primary advantage of the Unit UT345C is its ability to perform accurate measurements without requiring any complex setup or additional accessories. Its compact and lightweight design ensures high portability, making it an essential tool for field use. The integrated LED system offers intuitive feedback, while the built-in flashlight enhances usability in low-light environments. Furthermore, the device is built to withstand minor impacts and operates reliably across a broad temperature range, ensuring consistent performance in various outdoor and industrial settings.
This device is not suitable for use on non-LPG tanks, such as those containing water, oil, or other liquids, as it is specifically calibrated for the acoustic properties of liquid petroleum gas. It is also not intended for use on tanks with diameters outside the specified 200 mm to 350 mm range or on tanks with thick, non-standard coatings that may interfere with ultrasonic signal penetration.
To use the device, ensure it is powered with fresh AAA batteries. Place the sensor probe firmly against the side of the LPG cylinder at a 90-degree angle. Press the activation button and wait for the LED indicator to signal the measurement process. A green light confirms the presence of liquid gas at the probe location, while a red light indicates the tank is empty at that level. Move the sensor vertically along the tank wall to determine the exact fuel level.
For the most accurate results, ensure the sensor is held perpendicular to the tank surface and maintain steady contact during the measurement process. Avoid using the device on heavily damaged or dented sections of the cylinder wall.
