Sediment PP Filter USTM Model 4301287 7" 5 Micron
Inline sediment polypropylene (PP) filter cartridge USTM model 4301287, 7" length, nominal 5 micron rating. Designed to remove suspended particles, sand, rust and other mechanical contaminants from potable water systems. Intended for use as a pre-filter to protect downstream membranes, appliances and fixtures by reducing turbidity and particulate load.
The USTM Sediment PP Filter offers reliable mechanical filtration with a nominal retention of particles down to 5 microns. Its polypropylene construction provides chemical compatibility with common water supplies and stable performance within the specified temperature range. The compact 7" size fits standard housings for easy replacement and helps extend the service life of downstream filters and equipment.
Install the 7" USTM sediment PP cartridge into a compatible inline or standard filter housing following the housing manufacturer's instructions. Ensure correct cartridge orientation and secure seals to prevent bypass. Operate within the specified flow and temperature limits. Replace the cartridge when the recommended capacity (up to 10,000 L) or the time limit (up to 6 months) is reached, or earlier if a noticeable pressure drop or reduced water flow occurs.
For consistent performance, use this filter as a pre-filter ahead of fine membrane or activated carbon stages, and observe regular maintenance intervals. Do not exceed the stated temperature range and replace the cartridge according to the service life or when visibly fouled.
