Furniture varnish V33 SEMI MATTED DARK OAK (109085)
Furniture varnish V33 SEMI MATTED DARK OAK (109085)
V33 SEMI MATTED DARK OAK furniture varnish is a water-based protective finish designed for indoor wood furniture and joinery. It provides a semi-matte sheen that enhances dark oak tones while protecting surfaces from everyday wear, light scratches and moisture. The varnish is suitable for restoring or refreshing tables, chairs, cabinets and decorative wood elements, offering a balance between a natural look and durable surface protection.
This semi-matted varnish offers a low-reflective finish that preserves the appearance of dark oak grain and colour without the high gloss. The formulation provides resistance to abrasion and household humidity, allowing treated surfaces to retain their appearance for longer. Being a water-based product, it dries relatively quickly and emits fewer solvent odours compared with traditional solvent-borne varnishes, simplifying indoor application and cleanup.
Ensure the wooden surface is clean, dry and free from grease or loose particles. Sand the surface lightly and remove dust before application. Stir the varnish gently to achieve a uniform colour and consistency. Apply a thin, even coat with a good-quality brush, roller or spray gun, following the wood grain. Allow the first coat to dry fully, lightly sand between coats if a smoother finish is desired, then apply one or two additional coats until the required level of protection and appearance is achieved. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding drying times and recommended number of coats.
Work in a well-ventilated, dust-free environment and test the varnish on a small inconspicuous area or scrap wood to verify colour match and sheen. Maintain recommended drying intervals between coats and avoid heavy cleaning for the first few days after final drying to allow the film to fully cure.
