Acrylic Varnish VALLEJO 26.518 Matt for Metal, 0.06 L, 1 pc
VALLEJO 26.518 Matt is a permanent, quick-drying 100% acrylic varnish supplied in a 0.06 L bottle, formulated for use on metal surfaces. It provides a protective matte finish and UV resistance to painted metal models, miniatures and small metal parts. The varnish can be applied with an airbrush or a varnishing brush and is sold as a single unit for hobby, modelling and restoration work.
The formula is water-dilutable, fast drying and designed to form a durable, UV-resistant matte layer on metal substrates. It is compatible with common acrylic paints used in modelling and can be applied with either an airbrush for even coverage or a brush for spot treatment. The small bottle size makes it convenient for precision work and touch-ups.
This matt varnish is specifically formulated for use on metal and may not perform identically on non-metal substrates such as bare wood, plastics or resins unless compatibility is tested first. For high-gloss or satin finishes, choose a varnish with the desired sheen instead of this matt formulation.
Shake the bottle before use. Apply one thin even coat by airbrush or brush and allow to dry for at least 4 hours before applying a second coat. If necessary, dilute the varnish with a small amount of water to improve flow for airbrushing; test on a sample first. Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid applying overly thick layers to prevent runs or uneven matting.
For best results on metal miniatures, apply two thin coats with a minimum 4-hour drying interval, and perform a small compatibility test if overcoating non-metal paints or surfaces.
