Acrylic primer VALLEJO 71.025, 17 ml, solvent-free, black/yellow
Acrylic primer VALLEJO 71.025 is a solvent-free, water-based preparatory coat supplied in a 17 ml eyedropper bottle. Available in black and yellow tones, this primer is formulated to improve paint adhesion and create a uniform surface on models and miniatures. It is compatible with hand-brushing and airbrushing when thinned, and is intended for hobby modelling, small touch-ups and as a base layer prior to applying Model Air or other acrylic paints.
This solvent-free acrylic primer offers good adhesion for subsequent paint layers while preserving fine surface detail. The water-based formulation reduces strong odours and flammability concerns compared with solvent primers. The 17 ml eyedropper bottle packaging minimizes evaporation and allows precise dispensing for small-scale work. Available in black and yellow tones, the primer provides options for different base shading and coverage strategies.
Shake the bottle gently before use. For airbrushing, thin the primer according to the airbrush manufacturer’s guidance or with an appropriate acrylic thinner to achieve a smooth spray; recommended compressor pressure for similar Model Air acrylics is 15–20 PSI (0.5–1 kg) as a reference. For brush application use undiluted or slightly thinned primer to obtain an even coat. Apply thin, even layers and allow each layer to dry before adding additional coats or proceeding to paint. Ensure the surface is clean and free of dust, oils or release agents prior to priming.
Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling mists during airbrushing. Use appropriate airbrush cleaning products to maintain equipment after use. Store the eyedropper bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place to prolong usability.
