Primer VALLEJO 73.641 acrylic base primer 0.06 L for plastic, ready-mixed
Vallejo 73.641 primer is an acrylic polyurethane base coat formulated for use on plastic models and other surfaces that require a durable, impact-resistant finish. Supplied ready-mixed in a 0.06 L bottle, this primer creates a satin Mecha-style surface that preserves fine details while providing strong adhesion and protection against friction, scratches and rough handling.
The primer features an advanced acrylic formula that ensures exceptional adherence to difficult surfaces and high resistance to impacts and wear. It dries to a satin finish that matches the look of original model plastic and keeps small details visible. The product is compatible with airbrushing and brush application, and can be thinned with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver for smoother spraying.
This primer may not be ideal when a high-gloss or totally matte finish is required, as it dries to a satin appearance. Very porous or highly flexible substrates could require a different preparatory treatment or a primer specifically designed for extreme flexibility.
Apply to a previously cleaned and, if necessary, primed surface. For airbrushing, use the primer directly or dilute with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver for improved flow. Apply in several thin layers, allowing a few hours of drying between coats; final drying produces a homogenous, strong coating. For best airbrush maintenance, use Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.
For consistent results, spray at 15–20 PSI in thin, overlapping passes and allow sufficient drying time between layers. Use Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver to adjust viscosity and Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner for maintenance.
