Primer paint VALLEJO 73.605 base primer 0.06 L for metal and plastic
VALLEJO 73.605 base primer 0.06 L for metal and plastic is a ready-mixed surface primer formulated to prepare small-scale models, miniatures and repair parts before painting. Supplied in a compact 0.06 L container, the primer creates a uniform adhesion layer that preserves fine detail on resin, PVC, white metal, brass and wood. It dries quickly to a robust, homogeneous film suitable for subsequent acrylic or enamel paints and is intended for hobby, model building and small repair tasks.
This Vallejo base primer provides consistent coverage in thin layers, improving paint adhesion and surface durability without obscuring intricate model details. The product can be applied directly from the container or diluted for airbrushing, and it forms a strong, even film within a few hours. Its formulation is compatible with common modelling materials and helps reduce the number of finish coats needed by improving color coverage.
Apply the primer to a clean, dry surface free of dust, grease and loose particles. For brush application, use thin, even coats and allow each layer to dry before applying the next. For airbrushing, dilute the primer with a compatible airbrush thinner or flow improver to achieve the desired viscosity and set the compressor to moderate pressure (around 15–20 PSI or 0.5–1 kg). Multiple light coats are recommended to preserve surface detail; the film will harden within a few hours depending on temperature and ventilation.
Maintain airbrush equipment with a suitable cleaner after use and store the primer in a cool, dry place. When airbrushing, test spray on a scrap piece to confirm dilution and pressure settings. Allow full curing before applying final paint layers to ensure optimal adhesion and durability.
