Laptop Dock Verbatim 49142 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C Black Silver
Laptop Dock Verbatim 49142 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C Black Silver
The Verbatim Laptop Dock 49142 is a compact USB-C multiport hub designed to expand the connectivity of slim laptops and MacBooks. It adds an HDMI output with Ultra HD 4K support, a Gigabit Ethernet port, three USB 3.0 ports and an SD/microSD card reader while providing USB-C pass-through charging. The dock connects to a laptop via a USB-C Type-C port and has a black and silver brushed metal finish with small dimensions (50 mm × 117.7 mm × 15.3 mm) and a lightweight build.
This multiport hub increases available ports on modern thin laptops, enabling wired network access, external displays up to 4K resolution, fast USB 3.0 data connections and direct access to SD and microSD cards. Pass-through USB-C charging lets you power the laptop while using all other ports. Its compact, brushed metal design and USB-powered operation make it easy to carry and use in office, home or travel setups.
Plug the dock’s USB-C connector into the laptop’s USB-C port. If required, connect the laptop power adapter to the hub’s USB-C power-in port to enable pass-through charging. Attach an HDMI cable from the hub to a TV or monitor to enable external display output (set display settings on the laptop as needed). Insert an Ethernet cable for a wired network connection. Connect USB peripherals to the USB 3.0 ports and insert SD or microSD cards into the card slot for file access. The hub is USB-powered and requires no separate driver on most modern operating systems.
For stable 4K output and reliable network performance, use high-quality HDMI and Ethernet cables and ensure the laptop’s USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and provides sufficient power for pass-through charging. Avoid overloading all ports with high-power devices simultaneously to maintain optimal performance.
