3D printing material Verbatim 1 kg ABS Transparent 2.85 mm 55035
Verbatim 1 kg ABS Transparent 2.85 mm (55035) is a high-quality, general-purpose 3D printing filament designed for professional and hobby use. Supplied on a 1 kg spool with a nominal diameter of 2.85 mm and an approximate wire length of 149 m, this transparent ABS filament delivers a glossy, smooth surface finish and robust mechanical properties. The material is formulated with strict quality controls to ensure consistent diameter and extrusion behavior and is compatible with a wide range of FDM/FFF 3D printers.
Verbatim ABS offers a combination of strength, dimensional stability and heat resistance compared with lower-temperature filaments. Its transparent color and glossy finish make it suitable when visual appearance and surface quality are important. The filament is manufactured to controlled tolerances to reduce print failures and deliver predictable layer adhesion and consistent flow during extrusion.
Load the 2.85 mm Verbatim ABS filament onto the printer spool holder and thread it into the extrusion system according to your printer manufacturer’s instructions. Recommended hotend temperatures for ABS are typically higher than PLA; start in the range advised by the printer or filament guidelines and adjust as needed to optimize layer adhesion and surface finish. Use a heated bed to reduce warping and consider an enclosed build chamber or draft-free environment for larger parts. Ensure adequate ventilation when printing ABS.
For best results, print with a heated bed (typically 80–110 °C) and an extruder temperature appropriate for ABS (commonly 230–260 °C depending on the printer). Use a brim or raft for parts with a small contact area, and allow controlled cooling to minimise shrinkage. Store the filament in a dry place or sealed container with desiccant to preserve print quality.
