3D printing material Polylactic acid (PLA) Verbatim 55322
Verbatim 55322 is a 1 kg spool of blue Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament for 3D printing. Made from renewable plant-based resources, this PLA filament is formulated with controlled production standards to provide odourless printing and good post-printing workability. With a filament diameter of 1.75 mm and a wire length of approximately 365 m, it is suitable for a variety of prototyping, hobby and educational projects.
Verbatim PLA offers easy printability on most consumer FDM/FFF 3D printers due to its consistent diameter and stable behaviour. The material is low-odour and has good surface finish and post-processing characteristics. The 1 kg spool provides a long continuous feed (approximately 365 m), reducing the need for frequent filament changes during medium-sized prints.
Load the 1.75 mm PLA filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer following the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Use standard PLA print settings as a starting point: nozzle temperature typically between 190–220°C and bed temperature between 0–60°C depending on adhesion method. Print speed can begin around 30 mm/s and be adjusted for quality or speed requirements. After printing, allow the part to cool before removing it from the build plate and perform any post-processing such as sanding or painting if needed.
Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to prevent moisture absorption. Verify printer nozzle diameter and feeder compatibility with 1.75 mm filament before use. For best results, calibrate extrusion multiplier and print temperature for your specific printer and part geometry.
