VERBATIM TF-24005 — PLA 1.75 mm Red 1 kg is a general-purpose 3D printing filament made from polylactic acid (PLA) in Technical Red. The filament is supplied on a 1 kg spool with a 1.75 mm nominal diameter, engineered for FDM/FFF printers that accept 1.75 mm material. PLA is known for low warp and straightforward handling, making this filament suitable for a wide range of prototyping, modelling and everyday-print applications.
This VERBATIM PLA filament provides consistent diameter and uniform extrusion characteristics to support reliable layer adhesion and predictable print results. The red colour offers good visual contrast for parts and models, while the PLA material yields low internal stress and minimal warping compared with higher-temperature engineering filaments. The 1 kg spool format ensures an adequate supply for medium-sized projects and repeated prints without frequent spool changes.
Load the filament into a compatible 1.75 mm FDM/FFF printer following the printer manufacturer’s instructions. Use typical PLA printing settings: a nozzle temperature commonly between 190–220 °C and a heated bed temperature of 0–60 °C depending on adhesion method. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and first-layer height before starting a production run to ensure consistent flow and dimensional accuracy. Store unused filament on the spool in a dry environment to maintain printability.
For optimal results, print at moderate speeds, enable cooling for small features, and use a brim or adhesive on the build plate when printing larger flat parts. Keep the spool sealed with desiccant when not in use to reduce moisture uptake that can affect surface finish and extrusion behavior.
