Rip saw Verto 15G102 — hand saw, blade length 45 cm, 1 piece
Verto 15G102 is a hand rip saw designed for cutting wood along the grain. The tool features a 45 cm hardened steel blade with triple-sharpened teeth and a PTFE coating to reduce friction during cutting. Supplied as a single piece with a nylon sheath, this rip saw is intended for carpentry and woodworking tasks that require controlled, straight cuts along wood fibers.
The rip saw's blade has 7 teeth per inch (TPI) and is hardened with triple-sharpened tooth geometry to improve cutting efficiency and provide a smooth ripping action. A PTFE coating on the blade reduces binding and makes strokes smoother. The saw is equipped with an ergonomic, bi-material, anti-slip handle that improves grip and control for more precise cuts. A nylon sheath is included for safer storage and easier transport.
Secure the workpiece and mark the cutting line parallel to the wood grain. Hold the saw by the bi-material handle with a comfortable, firm grip and position the blade on the marked line. Begin with short, controlled strokes to establish a kerf, then use full-length, steady strokes along the grain, maintaining consistent angle and pressure. The PTFE coating reduces friction; if resistance increases, check blade alignment and the cut line. After use, clean any resin or dust from the blade and store the saw in the provided nylon sheath.
Use eye protection and gloves when sawing. Keep the blade clean and occasionally inspect teeth for wear; replace the saw if teeth become irreparably dull or damaged. For the best results on long rip cuts, maintain a steady rhythm and allow the saw's hardened, triple-sharpened teeth to do the work rather than applying excessive downward force.
