Diamond cutting disc Verto solid 180 mm — for tile and ceramic cutting
The Diamond cutting disc Verto solid 180 mm is a continuous-rim diamond blade made for precise cutting of tiles, ceramics and other hard, brittle surfaces. With a 180 mm diameter and a smooth rim profile, this disc is intended to deliver clean, chip-free edges and consistent cutting performance on ceramic, porcelain and similar materials. The solid construction is compatible with common angle grinders and tile saws when the tool supports continuous-rim diamond blades and the correct arbor size.
The continuous diamond rim reduces chipping and produces smooth edge finishes suitable for visible tile joints. The diamond abrasive layer ensures stable cutting speed and longevity when used on ceramic and porcelain. Its 180 mm size offers a balance between cutting depth and maneuverability for typical tiling tasks. The disc can be used wet or dry depending on the power tool manufacturer’s guidance, which helps adapt to workshop or on-site conditions.
This continuous-rim diamond disc is optimized for brittle, non-metallic materials; it is not suitable for cutting ferrous metals, reinforced concrete with heavy rebar, or very hard natural stone grades that require segmented blades. For high-production or heavy-duty masonry cutting, a segmented or turbo diamond blade with a larger diameter may be more appropriate. Always check compatibility with your tool and recommended cutting methods before use.
Select an angle grinder or tile saw compatible with 180 mm continuous-rim diamond blades and install the disc according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the correct arbor size and secure fastening. For dry cutting, maintain a steady feed rate and allow the blade to cut at its own speed to avoid overheating. For wet cutting, provide adequate water flow to the cutting area to reduce dust and extend blade life. Use proper support for tiles, avoid twisting the blade, and make several shallow passes on very thick pieces rather than forcing a single deep cut.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection, gloves, dust mask) and follow all safety instructions for your power tool. For best edge quality on glazed ceramics, consider wet cutting where possible and steady, controlled cuts rather than high feed pressure.
