Concrete drill bit Verto SDS+ 14 mm (model 60H631)
Verto SDS+ 14 mm concrete drill bit (model 60H631) is a carbide-tipped rotary hammer bit designed for drilling holes in concrete, masonry and similar building materials. Engineered for use with SDS+ rotary hammers and hammer drills, this 14 mm diameter bit delivers stable drilling performance for anchor, dowel and through-hole installations during construction and renovation tasks.
The tungsten carbide tip improves wear resistance and maintains cutting performance in abrasive materials. The SDS+ shank ensures quick, secure coupling with compatible rotary hammers, reducing play and improving energy transfer. A precisely ground flute geometry aids dust evacuation and keeps the bit running straighter, while the hardened steel body provides impact resistance required for repetitive hammer drilling.
Select an SDS+ compatible rotary hammer and set it to the appropriate hammer-drilling mode. Mark the drilling position and start at low speed to establish a guide notch, then increase power and maintain a steady axial pressure without forcing the tool. Periodically retract the bit to clear dust from the hole and allow the carbide tip to cool; for deep holes use intermittent drilling or air/wet extraction to remove debris. After drilling, check hole dimensions for anchor or dowel fit and clean the hole before installing fasteners.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment—safety glasses, dust mask and hearing protection—when drilling concrete. For reinforced concrete, monitor bit wear and replace the bit when cutting performance declines or the tip shows chipping to ensure accurate holes and safe operation.
