Verto SDS+ Concrete Drill Bit 12 mm (model 60H641) is a carbide-tipped drill bit designed for use with rotary hammer drills fitted with SDS+ chucks. It is intended for drilling holes in concrete, masonry and natural stone for anchors, dowels and through-hole fastenings. The bit combines a hardened tip geometry with a spiral flute profile to support fast penetration and effective removal of dust and chips during drilling.
The hardened carbide tip increases wear resistance and maintains cutting performance when drilling abrasive concrete and masonry. The SDS+ shank ensures quick, secure insertion and reliable transmission of impact force from the rotary hammer. The flute design promotes consistent evacuation of debris, reducing friction and helping to keep hole tolerances stable while extending tool life under typical construction and renovation workloads.
Fit the Verto SDS+ 12 mm drill bit into the SDS+ chuck of a compatible rotary hammer and ensure it is securely seated. Select the hammer drilling mode on the drill. Start drilling at low speed to position the bit, then apply steady pressure and allow the tool’s impact action to penetrate the material. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear accumulated dust and chips, especially when drilling deeper holes. For installation of anchors or dowels, verify hole depth and clean the hole before inserting the fixing.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and dust masks when drilling. Match drill diameter to the fixing manufacturer’s recommendations and avoid excessive side force to prevent premature wear.
