Drill bit Verto SDS+ 14 mm for concrete, model 60H657
The Verto SDS+ 14 mm drill bit for concrete, model 60H657, is a carbide-tipped masonry bit designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers. It is engineered to create clean, consistent 14 mm holes in concrete, brick and other masonry materials. The shank and flute geometry provide efficient debris removal while the reinforced tip improves durability during repetitive drilling tasks.
The carbide tip offers high wear resistance and maintains sharpness for extended drilling life. SDS+ shank design ensures secure fit and fast bit changes in compatible rotary hammers. Optimised flute geometry reduces clogging and improves drilling speed into dense materials. The bit is suitable for professional and DIY applications where precise 14 mm holes are required.
Insert the SDS+ shank fully into the rotary hammer chuck until it locks. Select hammer drilling mode on the tool if available and position the bit perpendicular to the work surface. Apply steady, moderate pressure without excessive force; allow the tool and carbide tip to do the work. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and debris from the hole. For deeper holes, drill in stages and clean the bore between passes to maintain drilling efficiency.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, ear protection and dust mask. Use a suitable SDS+ rotary hammer matched to the bit diameter and the hardness of the material. For drilling in reinforced concrete, ensure the bit and tool are rated for that use and proceed cautiously to avoid damaging the carbide tip. Store the bit in a dry place to prevent corrosion of the steel flute.
