Viking TOPDON V4000 HD is a professional portable jump starter with a high-capacity LiFePO4 battery pack designed for 12V and 24V vehicle systems. With a nominal energy of 204.8 Wh (specified as 64,000 mAh in vendor materials), the unit delivers up to 4000 A peak for 12V systems and up to 3000 A peak for 24V systems, enabling starts of petrol and diesel engines up to 16 litres. The device integrates a multi-mode LED light and provides DC and USB outputs for powering accessories and charging mobile devices, making it suitable for roadside assistance, workshops and fleet service operations.
The V4000 HD combines high peak current capacity with a LiFePO4 chemistry that supports repeated starts and extended cycle life. Rapid recharging via USB-C PD (65 W) reduces downtime, while integrated safety systems provide protection against reverse polarity, short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, deep discharge and overheating. Built-in outputs including a 12 V / 10 A DC port and USB-A port allow the unit to double as a power source for accessories. The rugged housing and operating temperature range make it usable in a wide range of professional environments.
Before use, ensure the unit is sufficiently charged and inspect cables and clamps for damage. Connect the positive clamp to the vehicle positive terminal and the negative clamp to a chassis ground or negative terminal following the manufacturer’s safety guidelines. Select the appropriate system if required (12V/24V) and attempt engine start. After the engine starts, disconnect clamps in reverse order and allow the jump starter to cool if necessary. Use the DC and USB outputs to power accessories or charge devices as needed, and operate the LED light for illumination or signalling when required.
Maintain the device charged when stored for long periods to avoid deep discharge. Use the built-in protection features and follow provided safety instructions to prevent reverse polarity and short-circuit conditions. For frequent heavy-duty use, recharge the unit promptly after multiple starts and store in a dry environment within the specified temperature range.
