The VIRTUOS EK-300C cash drawer is a compact, black point-of-sale cash storage unit with a built-in cable organizer and a 3/4 note/coin layout. How to use

Install the cash drawer on a stable, level surface under or beside the POS terminal. Connect the external cable matched to your system to the RJ-50 10P10C port; for direct connection to a compatible receipt printer use the supplied RJ12 24V cable (EKA0518). Set the lock to the appropriate position: locked for transport, electronic open for POS-controlled opening, or open for manual access. Use the recommended electronic pulse length (100–250 ms) when configuring the POS or printer to trigger electronic opening. Regularly empty and clean the removable coin tray and verify the bill organizer partitions are seated correctly before daily use.

Usage recommendations

To ensure reliable operation, use a compatible external cable and configure the POS or printer to send a 100–250 ms pulse at the correct voltage (9–24 V). Avoid exposing the cash drawer to extreme temperatures or moisture, and perform periodic checks of the microswitch and lock mechanism. Replace worn accessories (coin tray, spring, magnet, nylon bearing) with original parts when necessary.
