Folding Measuring Tape Vorel 14200 — Steel Tape, 20 m Length
Folding Measuring Tape Vorel 14200 — Steel Tape, 20 m Length is a compact, single-piece measuring tool designed for accurate distance measurement in construction, surveying, landscaping and home DIY tasks. The tool combines a 20 m long, 13 mm wide fiberglass tape with a protective plastic case and a crank retraction system. The tape features metric graduations on one side and imperial (inch) graduations on the other, and terminates with a metal eyelet for secure anchoring during stretching.
The Vorel 14200 offers a durable fiberglass tape resistant to stretching and wear, ensuring consistent measurements over repeated use. Its plastic housing protects the tape from dirt and minor impacts while keeping the tool lightweight and easy to carry. The crank mechanism enables quick, controlled retraction and tidy storage of the full 20 m tape. Dual-scale printing (metric and inch) supports international projects and easy conversion between units.
Pull the tape from the case to the required length and hook the metal eyelet onto a fixed point or hold it in place while a second person stretches the tape to the other end of the measured distance. Read the required graduation on the correct side of the tape (metric or inch) at the measurement point. Use the crank to rewind the tape slowly back into the case to prevent kinks or tangles and to maintain the tape's condition.
Store the measuring tape in a dry place and avoid exposing the fiberglass tape to sharp edges or chemicals. Retract the tape fully after use and operate the crank at a controlled speed. When measuring long distances, keep the tape aligned and supported to reduce sagging for more accurate results.
