Measuring Square Vorel 18362, aluminium, 1 pc
Vorel 18362 is an aluminium measuring square supplied as a single piece. Designed for layout and verification of right angles in carpentry, metalworking and general construction, it provides a lightweight, rust-resistant reference edge for marking and checking perpendicularity. The tool’s single-piece construction ensures stable alignment and easy handling for workshop tasks and on-site work where a portable, durable squaring tool is required.
The aluminium construction offers a good strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion, making the square easy to carry and suitable for humid or dusty environments. Its machined edges provide a straight reference for marking and measurement, while the single-piece design minimises play or misalignment over time. The simple profile allows clear visual alignment against workpieces and fast transfer of right-angle layouts.
Place the measuring square with one face firmly against the reference edge of the workpiece so that the outer arm sits across the surface to be marked. Hold the square in position and scribe or pencil along the outer edge to transfer a precise 90° line. For checking workpieces, align the square against the edge and visually confirm contact along the machined faces; any gap indicates deviation from perpendicular. Use light clamping if required to stabilise the square on small or mobile parts.
Store the aluminium square in a dry place and avoid impacts that could deform the machined edges. Clean grit and debris from the faces before use to maintain accuracy. For tasks requiring higher precision, verify the square against a calibrated reference periodically and replace the tool if edges show wear or bending.
