Drill bit Vorel 23694, length 600 mm, single piece

Vorel 23694 is a 600 mm long cylindrical drill bit supplied as a single piece, intended for drilling operations that require extended reach. The bit is compatible with standard chucks and is suitable for use in construction, carpentry and general metal- or woodworking where deep holes or access to recessed work areas are needed. Its elongated shaft provides stable guidance for drilling into walls, beams and panels while maintaining alignment over longer depths.

Advantages

The long 600 mm length enables drilling at extended depths and in hard-to-reach spots without the need for extensions. Supplied as a single-piece design, the bit offers straightforward installation and replacement in commonly used chucks. The cylindrical shank delivers consistent centring and compatibility with a wide range of handheld and bench drills. This drill bit is intended for general-purpose use across different materials when paired with the appropriate drill speed and cutting technique.

Suitable for

• Drilling deep holes in wood and timber framing
• Creating access holes through panels and partitions
• Metalworking tasks that require long-reach drilling with suitable material-specific speeds and coolant
• Construction and renovation work where recessed or hard-to-access points must be reached

Key specifications

• Overall length: 600 mm
• Quantity: single piece
• Shank type: cylindrical (compatible with standard chucks)
• Intended use: long-reach drilling for construction, carpentry, metal- and woodworking

How to use

Select a drill with a chuck that accepts the cylindrical shank and secure the bit firmly before operation. Set drill speed and feed according to the material: lower speeds and steady pressure for metals, higher speeds for softer woods, and controlled technique for laminated or composite panels. Use cutting lubricant or coolant for metal drilling to extend bit life. Maintain alignment during drilling to avoid bending or premature wear; withdraw the bit periodically to remove chips when drilling deep holes.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection). Verify drill compatibility and material suitability before use. For metal drilling, apply cutting fluid and moderate speed; for wood, ensure secure clamping of workpiece to prevent movement. Store the bit in a dry place to avoid corrosion and inspect for wear prior to reuse.
