Hand saw Vorel 28382 — 500 mm blade, 1 pc manual saw for wood cutting
Vorel 28382 is a manual hand saw with a 500 mm blade designed for cutting wood in construction, renovation and hobby projects. Supplied as a single piece per pack, the saw combines a long cutting edge with a closed plastic handle for stable grip and basic angle control. The blade features three-sided sharpened teeth with surface hardening and a 7 TPI (teeth per inch) division, intended to deliver efficient rip and crosscut performance on common wood types.
The three-sided sharpened teeth and hardened tooth surface improve cutting speed and durability while maintaining predictable feed through the material. A 500 mm blade length provides extended reach for longer cuts and reduces the number of strokes needed for through-cuts. The closed plastic handle offers a secure hold and integrated angle cues for approximate 45° and 90° cuts, making the saw practical for on-site carpentry and general DIY use.
Secure the workpiece before cutting to prevent movement. Hold the saw by the closed handle with a firm but relaxed grip, align the blade with the intended cut line using the handle's angle cues if needed, and start with controlled forward and backward strokes to establish a kerf. Maintain a steady rhythm and moderate pressure—let the saw's tooth geometry do the cutting. For long or deep cuts, use full-length strokes and periodically clear sawdust from the kerf to preserve cutting efficiency.
Use the Vorel 28382 hand saw on sawhorses or a stable bench and clamp thin or narrow stock to avoid binding. Choose shorter, controlled strokes for accurate crosscuts and longer strokes when ripping along the grain. Inspect and clean the blade after use and store in a dry place to prevent corrosion. For prolonged cutting or hardwoods, consider alternate saw types or professional blades suited to higher density materials.
