Clamping bar clamp Vorel 37108, iron and wood construction, 300 mm length
Vorel 37108 is a 300 mm clamping bar clamp designed to hold workpieces during gluing, assembly and light woodworking. Made with an iron body and wooden jaw faces, the clamp applies even pressure along its 300 mm span while minimising damage to finished surfaces. The tool is intended for hobbyists and workshop users who need a compact, single-piece clamp for controlled, stable clamping.
The clamp combines an iron construction with wooden jaw faces to provide rigid support and surface protection. A stable rail and a pressure screw with a swinging pressure plate enable consistent, adjustable clamping force. The lacquered wooden handle with a reinforced metal cap improves grip and durability during repeated use. Its single-piece design keeps setup straightforward and maintenance minimal.
Position the clamp so the wooden jaw faces contact the workpiece surfaces to be held. Turn the pressure screw clockwise until the swinging pressure plate contacts the workpiece and the desired clamping pressure is reached; avoid over-tightening that could deform thin materials. For release, turn the screw counterclockwise and remove the clamp. Use the clamp on flat or slightly irregular surfaces, ensuring the rail remains aligned with the workpiece for even pressure distribution.
Inspect the wooden jaw faces periodically and replace or protect them with sacrificial pads if surface marking is a concern. Store the clamp in a dry place to prevent corrosion of iron parts and apply light lubrication to the screw thread if stiffness is noticed.
