Clamp Vorel 37110 — 300 mm iron and wood bar clamp, 1 pc
Vorel 37110 — 300 mm iron and wood bar clamp is a single-piece clamping tool designed to hold iron and wooden workpieces securely during assembly, gluing and light woodworking operations. The clamp combines cast iron jaws, a tinned steel rail and a pressure screw with a swinging pressure plate to deliver steady clamping force. Supplied with a lacquered wooden handle reinforced by a metal cap, the unit is intended for hobbyists, workshop use and repair tasks where a reliable 300 mm clamping span is required.
The construction uses special cast iron jaws and a stable tinned steel rail that resist deformation under typical workshop loads. A pressure screw with a swinging pressure plate ensures even distribution of force across the workpiece surface, reducing the risk of slipping or damage. The lacquered wooden handle with metal cap offers improved grip and durability compared with simple plastic handles. Sold as a single unit, the clamp is compact and straightforward to integrate into existing tool sets.
Open the clamp by turning the pressure screw counterclockwise until the jaws accommodate the parts to be clamped. Position the workpieces between the cast iron jaws and align them as required. Turn the pressure screw clockwise to apply clamping force; the swinging pressure plate will pivot to distribute pressure evenly. Tighten until the workpieces are secure but avoid excessive torque that could dent or crush softer materials. To release, turn the screw counterclockwise and remove the parts.
For safer and longer-lasting performance, inspect the clamp before use to ensure the rail and jaws are free of deep burrs or heavy corrosion. Use protective pads when clamping finished or delicate surfaces to prevent marking. Store the clamp in a dry place and apply light lubrication to the screw thread periodically to maintain smooth operation.
