Vorel 70035 is a compact hand rivet tool supplied as a single unit for installing blind rivets into metal, plastic or sheet materials. The tool is intended for general fastening and repair tasks in workshops, garages or at-home DIY projects, offering a straightforward mechanical method to join overlapping parts without access to the rear side of the workpiece.
The hand rivet tool accepts rivets made of steel, stainless steel and aluminum and covers common diameters for general repair and assembly work. Its heads are manufactured from chrome-molybdenum (CrMo) tool steel for increased wear resistance, and the handles are finished with a non-slip rubber lining to improve grip and control during one-handed or two-handed operation. The compact manual design makes the tool easy to carry and store while providing consistent, repeatable riveting performance for single or occasional professional use.
Select a rivet of the correct diameter and material for the joined parts, drill an appropriately sized hole through the materials, and insert the rivet into the hole. Place the rivet mandrel into the tool nosepiece and position the tool so the rivet head sits flush against the work surface. Squeeze the handles steadily until the mandrel snaps and the rivet deforms to clamp the parts together. After the mandrel breaks, release the handles and remove the spent mandrel piece from the nosepiece before repeating the operation.
For reliable joints, ensure holes are correctly sized for the selected rivet diameter and that materials are clean and properly supported. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when drilling and riveting. Periodically check the nosepieces and replace worn components to maintain consistent pull force and avoid damaging rivets or the tool.
