Handheld gas torch Vorel 73342 is a propane/butane-powered torch supplied as a single unit for portable heating, soldering, brazing, thawing pipes and small-scale metalwork. The torch accepts common LPG cartridges and is intended for use in workshops, maintenance jobs and DIY tasks where a concentrated flame and mobility are required. The design allows operation without an external power source and includes safety and convenience features to support repeated on-site use.
The long roofing burner design with a 60 mm nozzle provides high thermal efficiency and allows work from a standing position when covering larger surfaces. A built-in valve in the handle automatically closes gas supply when the burner is set down, reducing gas consumption and improving safety. The torch can be connected to compressed butane cylinders or a propane–butane gas mixture, enabling work in locations without mains power. The package includes the burner, a 60 mm dish (nozzle) and a 5 m hose to provide immediate readiness for a variety of tasks.
Assemble the device according to the instruction manual. Attach the hose to the burner assembly and then to the gas cylinder, making sure to tighten both connections securely. Verify connection tightness by slightly opening the cylinder valve and applying soapy water to the joints; if bubbles appear, close the cylinder valve and tighten the leaking connections until no bubbles form. To operate, open the cylinder valve, then open the appliance valve minimally to allow gas flow and ignite the gas at the outlet of the cup using a lighter designed for portable gas burners. After the flame establishes, press the burner lever to increase output; if the flame is too short, adjust the burner valve to regulate gas pressure. Release the lever to return to economy mode. After finishing work, close the cylinder valve, wait for the flame to extinguish, then place the burner on a non-flammable surface to cool before performing any maintenance. Follow the full installation, operation and maintenance instructions included in the manual.
Use only approved LPG cylinders and fittings, keep flammable materials away from the work area, wear appropriate protective equipment, and perform leak checks before each use. Allow the torch to cool completely on a non-flammable surface before storage or maintenance, and follow all safety precautions described in the instruction manual.
