Cable ties Vorel 73898 pack of 50, reusable plastic fastening straps
VOREL 73898 cable ties are black, reinforced nylon straps intended for bundling, fixing and packaging tasks. Each pack contains 50 ties with a nominal length of 500 mm and a cross section of 4.8 mm, made from a modified PA6.6 (nylon) compound formulated for improved mechanical strength, tear resistance and UV stability. The ties feature evenly spaced serrations on one side and a self-locking head that prevents loosening once tightened, allowing precise adjustment of the loop to the fastened object.
The modified polyamide construction provides higher tearing force (up to 54 kg) and increased resistance to grease, oil and ultraviolet radiation compared with standard nylon ties. The close serration spacing enables fine tension control and secure locking, while the black color offers additional UV protection and a discreet appearance for outdoor or visible installations.
These ties are designed for general-purpose bundling and fastening; they are not intended for critical structural loads or applications requiring certified fire resistance, extreme chemical resistance beyond oils and greases, or very high-temperature exposure. For heavy-duty industrial lifting, permanent structural connections, or exposure to aggressive solvents, choose a product specified for those conditions.
Insert the tail end of the tie through the head and pull to form a loop around the items to be secured. Adjust the tension until the bundle is held firmly; the serrations will engage the locking mechanism and prevent the tie from retracting. If necessary, trim the excess tail close to the head for a neat finish using cutting pliers or a sharp blade.
For neat and secure installations, route cable ties so the locking head is accessible for inspection and trimming. Use black ties for outdoor or UV-exposed applications and replace ties showing signs of embrittlement or damage.
