Cable tie Vorel 73909, nylon fastening straps, pack of 100
Vorel 73909 cable ties are nylon fastening straps supplied in a pack of 100. Each tie measures 280 x 4.8 mm and is made from PA6.6UL P4V2 modified polyamide (nylon) in white. The design features evenly distributed serrations on one side and a simple one-way locking head that allows precise loop adjustment and prevents retraction once engaged. These ties are intended for bundling and securing cables, hoses, pipes and small items for indoor and light-duty outdoor applications.
The use of a modified polyamide formula gives Vorel 73909 cable ties enhanced tear resistance and favorable mechanical properties while maintaining resistance to grease and oil. Increased UV resistance extends usable life in light-exposed conditions compared with standard nylon ties. The close spacing of serrations enables accurate tightening to the circumference of the component for a secure hold, and the nominal tearing force of up to 22 kg supports reliable fixation of cable bundles and similar loads.
Insert the free end of the cable tie through the head and pull to form a loop around the items to be secured. Tighten until the loop matches the required circumference; the one-way locking mechanism prevents loosening. Trim any excess tail with cutting pliers or scissors to reduce sharp edges and improve appearance. For best results, position the head so it does not create pressure points on delicate cables or hoses.
Choose the tie length so the nominal maximum bundle diameter (80 mm) is not exceeded; for heavier or safety-critical applications use multiple ties or alternative fasteners. Avoid exposing the ties to continuous temperatures beyond the typical range for PA6.6 materials and inspect ties periodically in outdoor or chemically aggressive environments. When removing, cut the tie carefully to avoid damaging underlying cables or surfaces.
