Insulating self-fusing tape Vorel 19 mm x 10 m model 75035
Insulating self-fusing tape Vorel 19 mm x 10 m model 75035
Insulating self-fusing tape Vorel 19 mm x 10 m model 75035 is a rubber-based sealing and insulation tape that bonds to itself without adhesive. With a 19 mm width and a 10 m length, the tape provides a flexible, conforming layer for electrical insulation, cable repair, moisture sealing and temporary joins on wiring, hoses and pipes. The product is designed to create a watertight, mechanically stable wrap that resists vibration and movement while maintaining elasticity and electrical isolation.
The tape fuses to itself to form a continuous, adhesive-free joint that reduces bulk and provides consistent dielectric properties. Its rubber composition offers good elasticity and conformability around irregular shapes, enabling tight seals on connectors, splices and hose joins. The tape is suitable for indoor and short-term outdoor use where a flexible, temporary or semi-permanent insulation is required. It can be applied without primer or heat and provides mechanical protection against abrasion and moisture ingress.
Clean and dry the surface to be wrapped, removing dirt, oil and loose particles. Stretch the tape slightly and begin wrapping with a 50% overlap, pulling firmly to activate the self-fusing properties. Continue wrapping until the repair or insulation area is fully covered, then press the final layer to ensure full contact and amalgamation. Allow a short dwell time for the layers to fuse into a continuous mass before subjecting the repair to full mechanical or environmental stress.
For best results, store the tape in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid using the tape as a permanent substitute for damaged insulation on high-voltage or safety-critical wiring; where permanent repair is required, replace damaged components or use approved permanent insulating materials. Do not rely on the tape for long-term UV-exposed outdoor installations without additional protective coverings.
