Duct tape Vorel 75141, aluminium backing, 50 m × 48 mm
Vorel 75141 aluminium-backed duct tape is a single-roll repair and sealing tape designed for use in construction, maintenance and HVAC applications. The tape is 50 m long and 48 mm wide and combines a pressure-sensitive adhesive with an aluminium carrier that provides surface protection and thermal reflectivity. It is intended for temporary fixes, joint sealing and protecting surfaces from moisture and abrasion.
The aluminium backing increases durability and provides a reflective surface that helps reduce heat transfer. Its pressure-sensitive adhesive adheres to metal, ductwork, insulation and many other building materials, forming a strong, conformable bond. The tape resists moisture and can protect surfaces from light abrasion and weathering when applied correctly. Supplied as a long roll, it is suitable for repeated sealing tasks without frequent replacement.
Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from loose debris, oil or dust before application. Cut the required length of tape and press it firmly onto the surface, smoothing out wrinkles and air pockets to achieve maximum contact and adhesion. For sealing joints or ducts, overlap adjacent turns by at least half the tape width to ensure a continuous seal. For outdoor or long-term use, verify adhesion periodically and replace the tape if corrosion or degradation is observed.
Store the tape in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight to preserve adhesive performance. For best results on irregular or textured surfaces, apply firm pressure and consider using additional mechanical fastening where long-term structural strength is required.
