Flo 79861 file/rasp
Vorel Flo 79861 file/rasp set contains three round files designed for sharpening chainsaw chains with a .325 pitch. Each file is 200 mm long with a 4 mm working diameter, manufactured from T15 material to provide consistent cutting performance and durability. The set is intended for maintenance of small- to medium-pitch chains where precise tooth profile restoration is required.
The round shape matches the cutting profile of .325-pitch chain teeth, enabling uniform material removal and accurate restoration of the filing angle. Supplied as a set of three, the files offer replacement options and longer service intervals compared with a single file. T15 material increases wear resistance and maintains edge geometry over multiple sharpening cycles.
Secure the chainsaw or the guide bar in a stable position and ensure the chain is cool and free of debris. Select the correct file diameter and place the round file into the gullet of the cutting tooth, maintaining the original filing angle. Use smooth, even strokes away from the rivet, applying light pressure and counting strokes to keep both sides of the chain balanced. Rotate the chain to sharpen each tooth in sequence, and periodically check tooth length and cutting performance. Replace files from the set as they wear to maintain consistent sharpening results.
Use protective gloves and eye protection while sharpening. Clean the chain before filing to avoid clogging the file, and inspect the chain for damaged rivets or links; replace the chain if structural damage is found. Store files dry to prevent corrosion and select the appropriate filing guide if precise angle control is required.
