Pipe clamp Walraven BIS 6" 159–169 mm KSB2 EPDM for M8/M10 threaded rod
Pipe clamp Walraven BIS 6" 159–169 mm KSB2 EPDM for M8/M10 threaded rod
Walraven BIS 6" 159–169 mm KSB2 EPDM pipe clamp is designed for secure support of round pipes with diameters from 159 to 169 mm. The clamp features an EPDM-lined saddle (KSB2) that cushions the pipe, reduces vibration transmission and provides basic corrosion protection between metal and pipe surface. Compatible with M8 and M10 threaded rod fixings, this clamp is intended for mechanical, plumbing and HVAC installations where reliable pipe restraint and noise reduction are required.
The EPDM lining offers elastic damping that reduces vibration and prevents metal-to-pipe contact, extending service life of both pipe and clamp. The BIS design ensures consistent clamping force and straightforward installation on typical threaded rod supports. Constructed from robust materials suitable for building services and industrial environments, the clamp provides durable mechanical support while maintaining a compact profile for space-efficient routing.
Select the clamp size matching the pipe outer diameter and position the EPDM-lined saddle around the pipe. Align the clamp halves and tighten the bolts to achieve firm contact without over-compressing the lining. Attach the clamp assembly to M8 or M10 threaded rod using appropriate nuts and washers; ensure vertical and lateral alignment of the pipe run. Periodically inspect the clamp for signs of wear, deformation or loosening and re-torque fasteners as necessary to maintain secure support.
For optimal performance, use the clamp on clean pipe surfaces and avoid over-tightening bolts to prevent damaging the EPDM insert. Choose corrosion-resistant fasteners where exposure to moisture or aggressive atmospheres is expected. When installing on long pipe runs, space clamps according to applicable standards and the pipe material’s expansion characteristics to maintain stable support and reduce noise transmission.
