WENTRONIC Goobay 58493 digital-to-analog audio converter, up to 192 kHz, Black
The WENTRONIC Goobay 58493 digital-to-analog audio converter accepts digital audio input via coaxial cable or TOSLINK optical input and produces a stereo analogue output through phono/RCA connectors or a 3.5 mm jack. The device supports sampling rates up to 192 kHz and is finished in black, enabling connection of modern digital sources such as TVs, media players or set-top boxes to analog amplifiers or speakers.
This converter provides reliable D/A conversion for connecting digital audio sources to analog playback systems, supporting high sampling rates up to 192 kHz for improved signal fidelity. It offers both coaxial and TOSLINK inputs for flexible source compatibility and dual analogue outputs (RCA and 3.5 mm) for connection to a variety of amplifiers and speakers. The compact black housing is suitable for simple integration into home AV setups.
This converter does not provide advanced processing such as upmixing, tone control or room correction; it performs straightforward digital-to-analogue conversion. It also does not include wireless streaming, HDMI inputs/outputs, or a built-in headphone amplifier with high-power output, so it may not meet needs for wireless audio distribution or high-drive headphone use.
Connect the digital source to the converter using either a coaxial cable or a TOSLINK optical cable, then connect the analogue outputs to your amplifier or powered speakers using RCA cables or a 3.5 mm cable. Power the unit according to the supplied power adapter (if required) and select the corresponding input on your audio source and output device. Ensure the source is set to output digital audio and that sampling rate settings are compatible with the converter (up to 192 kHz).
For best results use high-quality digital cables and set your source device to a sampling rate supported by the converter. Position the converter away from large power transformers or strong RF sources to minimize potential interference.
