L-shaped hex key Wera 950 BM Metric, 1 pc, long arm 7 cm, short arm 2.5 cm
Wera 950 BM Metric is a single L-shaped hex key designed for driving metric hex (Allen) fasteners. The tool has a long arm of 7 cm and a short arm of 2.5 cm, providing a choice between increased leverage and access in confined spaces. Manufactured with the Hex-Plus profile, the key increases contact area inside the screw head to reduce rounding and improve torque transmission. The BlackLaser surface treatment enhances corrosion resistance and durability, while wear-resistant size markings allow quick identification of the tool.
The Hex-Plus geometry reduces notching effects and lowers the risk of damaging the screw recess compared with conventional hex keys. A single-piece L-shape gives solid torsional stability and allows both low-profile and high-leverage working positions. BlackLaser coating delivers improved surface protection and a long service life, and the clearly visible, wear-resistant size marking speeds tool selection during assembly and repair work.
Insert the short or long arm into the hex socket depending on required access and leverage. Use the long arm for higher torque by holding the short arm as the driver, or use the short arm for confined spaces and turn the tool with the long arm. Ensure the Hex-Plus profile is fully engaged in the screw recess to minimize slippage and avoid applying excessive sideways force that could deform the screw head.
Choose the appropriate arm orientation for the task: long-arm-in-socket for maximum leverage and short-arm-in-socket when access is limited. Keep the tool clean and free of debris, and avoid using it as a pry bar or hammer to preserve both the Hex-Plus profile and screw heads.
