Open End Wrench Wera 05020263001
The Wera 05020263001 open end wrench is a high-quality metric double open-end wrench designed for hexagonal head bolts and nuts. Made from chrome-molybdenum steel with a nickel-chrome coating, this 305 mm tool with 27 mm and 32 mm openings offers good leverage, corrosion protection and reliable strength for professional and DIY tasks.
This Wera wrench combines a double-hex geometry and specially forged shape for high torque transfer and reduced slipping. A replaceable metal plate with extra-hard teeth in the jaw provides a holding function to secure nuts and bolts and lower the risk of drops. An integrated limit stop prevents the tool from slipping down around the bolt head and enables application of higher torque. The 30° return angle minimises the need to flip the wrench during fastening operations, and the colour-coded Tool Finder simplifies size identification.
Select the correct jaw size (27 mm or 32 mm) for the nut or bolt. Position the open end fully onto the hex head so the double-hex geometry engages positively, then apply steady torque in the required direction. For improved grip on rounded or difficult fasteners, use the jaw’s replaceable metal plate to hold the nut or bolt. Observe the integrated limit stop to prevent downward slipping around the bolt head and reduce the risk of stripping.
Inspect the wrench and the replaceable metal plate before use; replace the plate if teeth are worn. Avoid using the open-end wrench as a hammer or on fasteners beyond its specified sizes. Clean and store the tool dry to maintain the nickel-chrome corrosion protection and colour-coding visibility.
