Screwdriver Wera 977 TORX Single Straight
The Wera 977 TORX Single Straight is a chiseldriver designed for fastening, chiselling and loosening seized TORX screws. It features a multi-component Kraftform handle for comfortable, low-fatigue work and a hexagon blade made from high-quality bit material that extends through the blade to ensure full transfer of force. The blade is made from ductile tempered material to reduce the risk of splintering or breaking and includes a Wera Black Point tip and a complex hardening process for improved wear resistance, corrosion protection and precise fit. An impact cap increases durability when striking and the integrated hexagonal bolster allows additional torque to be applied with an open-end or ring spanner. A hexagonal anti-roll feature prevents the screwdriver from rolling away at the workplace.
The multi-component Kraftform handle provides ergonomic support for longer use with less fatigue. The through-hardened hexagon blade transmits torque reliably, even when hammered. Ductile tempering and an impact cap reduce the chance of blade damage. The Wera Black Point tip and specialized hardening process extend tip life and improve fit with TORX fasteners. The integrated hexagonal bolster enables higher torque application with a spanner, and the anti-roll feature keeps the tool stationary on work surfaces.
Select the correct TORX size to match the screw head and seat the tip fully into the fastener. Use the Kraftform handle to apply controlled torque; when additional force is required, an open-end or ring spanner can be placed on the integrated hexagonal bolster. For seized or corroded screws the tool can be used with controlled hammer strikes on the impact cap to help loosen the fastener. After use, wipe the blade clean and store the screwdriver in a dry place to maintain the Black Point coating and prevent corrosion.
Do not use the screwdriver on non-TORX fasteners. Avoid excessive lateral force to prevent tip wear or damage. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when applying hammer strikes or working with seized fasteners.
