Bit Holder Wera 889/4/1 Rapidaptor
Rapidaptor universal holder for bits with 1/4" external hexagon drive according to DIN ISO 1173-C 6.3 and E 6.3. The Wera 889/4/1 Rapidaptor is made of stainless steel, measures 75 mm in length with a 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex shank and weighs approximately 40 g. It is designed for fast bit changes without using the sleeve and fits screwdriver machines with mounting according to DIN ISO 1173-F 6.3.
The Rapidaptor enables mounting and removal of bits without operating an outer sleeve: bits lock securely and are released by simply pushing them forward for one-handed, rapid changes. A strong permanent magnet holds bits firmly in place during use. The holder’s stainless steel construction and standard 1/4" hex drive ensure compatibility with a wide range of bits and power screwdrivers following the DIN ISO 1173 standard.
Insert the required bit into the Rapidaptor front opening until it locks in place. Install the holder into the screwdriver or driver with the 1/4" hex shank. To remove the bit, push the bit forward from the front of the holder; the mechanism releases the bit for quick removal, allowing one-handed operation. Ensure the bit is fully seated before applying torque.
For reliable operation, use bits that conform to standard 1/4" hex sizes and inspect the holder for wear or contamination before use. Keep magnetic surfaces free of metallic debris and avoid applying excessive lateral loads to the bit during high-torque tasks.
