The Wera 897/4 IMP bit holder is a 75 mm stainless steel impaktor holder designed to absorb impulse peaks when used with power screwdrivers and screwdriving robots. It features a 1/4" hex drive (DIN ISO 1173-F 6.3) and accepts bits with a 1/4" hexagon head (DIN ISO 1173-C 6.3). The holder includes a retaining ring and an integrated magnet for secure bit and screw retention and is constructed without small, easily wear-prone mechanical parts to meet dynamic industrial assembly demands.
The double-torsion spring design provides a torsion effect that helps absorb shock from impulse peaks, improving tool and bit longevity. The retaining ring ensures an optimal fit of the bit in the holder while the built-in magnet offers additional fixing of the bit and screw. Stainless-steel construction and the absence of delicate mechanical components increase durability under heavy-duty and high-dynamic applications.
Insert a compatible 1/4" hex bit into the holder until it seats against the retaining ring. Attach the bit holder to the power screwdriver with a matching 1/4" hex drive. During operation, the double-torsion spring absorbs impulse peaks; no additional adjustments are necessary. The built-in magnet helps keep the bit and screws in place while driving.
Use the Wera 897/4 IMP bit holder with power screwdrivers and automated screwdriving equipment specified for 1/4" DIN ISO 1173-F 6.3 drives. Inspect the holder periodically for wear and replace if deformation or loss of magnetic retention occurs. Avoid using the holder with incompatible bit sizes.
