Bradawl Wiha 301-2 Pointed tip
The Wiha 301-2 Bradawl features a pointed tip and a chrome-vanadium steel blade that is through-hardened and nickel-plated for wear resistance. The tool has a total length of 185 mm, a shank length of 85 mm and a shank diameter of 3.4 mm, and a transparent red cellulose acetate handle designed for a comfortable grip and precise control in pre-punching and making drill starter holes in wood and similar materials.
The pointed chrome-vanadium blade provides accurate penetration and a durable cutting edge; nickel plating improves corrosion resistance. The transparent red cellulose acetate handle offers a secure grip and good control during use. Lightweight construction (0.069 kg) makes the bradawl easy to position for precision tasks.
Hold the bradawl by the handle with a firm grip and position the pointed tip at the intended mark on the workpiece. Apply steady axial pressure while rotating the handle slightly if necessary to create a starter hole or pre-punched point. For deeper or larger holes, use the bradawl to establish a pilot point before drilling with a powered tool.
Use the Wiha 301-2 on wood and similar materials; avoid excessive lateral force to prevent blade bending. Keep the tip sharp and store the tool in a dry place to preserve the nickel plating and steel hardness.
