T-handle hex key Wiha 00968
The Wiha 00968 T-handle hex key is a metric hex key designed for precise tightening and loosening of hex fasteners. It has a long arm of 10 cm and a short arm of 3.2 cm, offering good leverage and access in confined spaces. The blade is made of chrome-vanadium steel, through-hardened and nickel-plated for durability, and the handle uses the Wiha Classic T-handle design.
The chrome-vanadium, through-hardened, nickel-plated blade provides wear resistance and corrosion protection. The Classic T-handle offers ergonomic grip for high torque transfer with minimal effort. A recess in the shank accommodates long screws, increasing versatility for varied tasks. The tool is lightweight (82 g) and compact, making it convenient to handle and store.
Select the correct hex size for the fastener, insert the short or long arm into the fastener head as required for access, and apply torque using the T-handle. Use the long arm for reach into recessed areas and the short arm when greater torque control is needed. The shank recess can be used when engaging long screws to ensure proper seating.
Use steady, controlled force to avoid rounding fastener heads. Keep the tool clean and dry; inspect the blade and handle before use. For maximum tool life, avoid using the hex key as a pry bar or striking it with a hammer.
