Needle-nose pliers Wiha Z 05 1 06
The Wiha Z 05 1 06 needle-nose pliers are insulated and individually tested for use on electrical systems up to 1,000 V AC (VDE and GS tested). Made from tempered C 70 tool steel with induction-hardened cutting edges, these 160 mm pliers combine precision gripping, holding and cutting for soft and hard wires and cables. The angled head (approx. 40°) and extra-long cutting edge are designed for access to confined areas and for working on or around electrical components in professional electrical applications.
Insulated and VDE/GS-tested for safe use up to 1,000 V AC; high-quality C 70 tool steel construction with tempered body for durability; cutting edges induction-hardened to approx. 64 HRC for long-lasting sharpness; extra-long cutting edge and angled head for improved access; partially serrated gripping surfaces for secure hold; compact 160 mm length and lightweight design (approx. 153 g) for precise handling and control.
Use the pliers to grip, hold or cut wires and small components. Position the jaws around the workpiece and apply steady pressure for gripping or cutting. For cutting, place the wire close to the cutting edge and perform a clean, controlled squeeze. When working near live parts, ensure the insulation is intact and that the tool has been tested before use. Follow standard safety procedures for electrical work and verify de-energised conditions when required.
Inspect the insulation and tool condition before each use. Do not exceed the rated voltage of 1,000 V AC. Do not use the pliers on live circuits if the insulation is damaged. Clean and store the pliers dry; avoid corrosive environments to maintain cutting edge life.
