Screwdriver Wiha 302ESD Single
The Wiha 302ESD Single is a precision screwdriver designed for use on electrostatically sensitive components. It measures 204 mm in length and weighs 32 g, offering a lightweight, well-balanced tool for delicate electronics work. The blade is made from chrome-vanadium-molybdenum steel, through-hardened and chrome-plated, with a Wiha ChromTop® finish on the tip to ensure a precise fit. The ergonomic multi-component SoftFinish® handle includes roll-off protection and an electrostatic dissipative surface with resistance in the range 10^6–10^9 ohms, making it suitable for ESD-controlled environments.
The screwdriver combines a hardened, chrome-plated alloy blade for durability and accurate fit with an ergonomic SoftFinish® handle that reduces hand fatigue and prevents rolling when placed on a workbench. Its ESD-safe surface resistance and construction reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge damage to sensitive components. The compact length and light weight improve control during precision tasks.
Use the screwdriver for turning slotted screws in electronic assemblies, holding the tool by the SoftFinish® handle for a secure grip. Apply steady, controlled torque to avoid slipping or damaging screw heads. When working in ESD-sensitive areas, ensure the workstation is configured for ESD safety and that the screwdriver is used alongside appropriate grounding measures to maintain its dissipative function.
Store the screwdriver in an ESD-safe tool holder or mat when not in use, and periodically inspect the tip for wear. Replace the tool if the tip is deformed or the ESD surface properties are compromised. Do not use the screwdriver for prying or as a chisel to preserve tip geometry and ESD performance.
