L-shaped hex key Wiha 01402
The Wiha 01402 L-shaped hex key is made from chrome-vanadium steel, through-hardened and chrome-plated for corrosion resistance and durability. It follows the ISO 2936L standard and features a ball end that allows working at angles up to 25°. The tool has a long arm of 18.4 cm and a short arm of 3.8 cm, providing good leverage and reach for screws in confined or hard-to-reach locations.
The chrome-vanadium blade construction and through-hardening increase wear resistance and strength while the chrome plating helps protect against rust. The ball end permits angled engagement up to 25°, enabling access to screws that cannot be reached with a straight hex key. Its lightweight design (about 50 g) makes it easy to handle during prolonged use.
Insert the appropriate hex key end into the hex socket of the screw. For standard straight engagement use the long or short arm as needed for leverage. To reach screws at an angle, use the ball end and approach the fastener within the permitted 25° angle. Apply steady turning force without excessive torque to avoid rounding the screw head.
Use the Wiha L-shaped hex key for tasks matching its size and hardness; avoid using it as a prying tool or applying impact loads. Keep the tool clean and lightly oiled to preserve the chrome plating and prevent corrosion.
