L-shaped hex key Wiha 20550
L-shaped hex key Wiha 20550 is a metric hexagon key with a ball end and MagicRing® retention, designed for inserting and removing hex screws in both accessible and hard-to-reach locations. The tool is manufactured from chrome-vanadium steel with through-hardening and a chrome-plated finish. The long arm measures 14.2 cm and the short arm 2.9 cm, providing leverage and access where space is limited.
The chrome-vanadium blade is through-hardened and chrome-plated for wear resistance and corrosion protection. The MagicRing® spring-steel ring (from 3 mm size) secures standard hex screws regardless of screw material and holds them in any orientation. The ball end allows operation at angles up to 25° for easier work in confined or angled positions. The L-shape gives improved leverage and control compared with a straight key.
Select the hex key size matching the screw head and insert the short or long arm into the screw drive depending on required reach and leverage. Use the long arm for higher torque and the short arm when more clearance or access is needed. For angled engagement, position the ball end in the screw recess and operate within the permitted angle up to 25°. The MagicRing® will help retain the screw during insertion or removal.
Use the tool within its intended metric sizes and avoid applying excessive force beyond normal manual torque. Keep the tool clean and dry; lightly oil the blade occasionally to maintain the chrome finish. Do not use the hex key as a pry bar or striking tool.
