The Wiha 411 210 8 Analogue caliper is an ESD-safe measuring tool designed for precise outside, inside and depth measurements on electrostatically sensitive components. Constructed from a non-metallic high‑tech material with 60% glass‑fibre content, the caliper combines a lightweight 96 g body with surface resistance in the range of 10^6 to 10^9 ohms to meet electrostatic discharge control requirements. The analogue dial has a 35 mm diameter and provides a reading resolution of 0.1 mm, with one full dial rotation corresponding to 10 mm. The impact‑resistant dial can be recalibrated to zero for ongoing accuracy.
The caliper’s ESD‑safe construction and compliance with IEC 61340‑5‑1 reduce the risk of damaging sensitive electronic components during measurement. Its non‑metallic, glass‑fibre reinforced material provides mechanical robustness while keeping the tool lightweight. The 35 mm analogue dial offers clear, fine graduations and an impact‑resistant design that can be reset to zero, supporting repeatable and reliable measurements in production and repair environments.
Position the caliper jaws on the object to measure outside, inside or depth dimensions, ensuring contact is secure but not excessive. Read the main value from the dial using the 0.1 mm graduations; note that one full revolution of the dial corresponds to 10 mm of travel. If required, recalibrate the impact‑resistant dial to zero before taking a series of measurements to ensure consistency. Use gentle, steady movement when sliding the jaws to avoid affecting the reading.
Use the Wiha 411 210 8 Analogue caliper exclusively within ESD protected areas or at designated ESD workstations when measuring electrostatically sensitive components. Keep the caliper clean and free of conductive contamination, avoid exposing it to aggressive chemicals or high temperatures, and recalibrate the dial as needed to maintain measurement accuracy.
