The Wiha Single-pole non-contact voltage tester provides a quick initial indication of whether an area or conductor is live. It detects alternating electric fields from 12 to 1,000 V AC and signals the detected field strength optically and acoustically. The tester is battery-powered (two AAA batteries included), features an integrated flashlight for working in dark conditions, and includes a push-on clip for secure pocket storage. The device is designed for worldwide socket variants and is rated for CAT IV 1,000 VAC in accordance with EN 61010-1/IEC 61326.

Advantages

How to use

Switch the tester on and confirm the permanently green LED to ensure the device is ready. Before and after each use, test the tester on a known live voltage source to verify correct operation. Bring the measurement tip close to the conductor, outlet or component to be tested; the LEDs and an audible signal will indicate the presence and relative strength of an alternating electric field. Use the integrated flashlight to illuminate dark measurement points; the flashlight can be switched on or off independently of the voltage detection function.
