How to use

Secure the workpiece and mark the hole position accurately. Fit the Forstner bit into a compatible drill press or hand drill chuck and set an appropriate drilling speed for the material (moderate speed for chipboard and coated panels, higher speed for solid softwoods). Position the centre point on the mark and apply steady, even pressure while allowing the bit to cut without forcing. Withdraw the bit occasionally to clear chips when drilling deep holes. For overlapping or stepped holes, stop and reposition as required to maintain correct alignment.

Usage recommendations

Use consistent feed pressure and suitable speed to avoid burning; clamp thin or small workpieces to prevent movement. For the best edge quality in coated boards, make a shallow pilot cut first or back the board on a sacrificial backing to reduce tearing at the exit.
